“And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.” Revelation 5:1
There is a Scroll Sealed with 7 Seals.
- Yeshua is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
- He is worthy to open the Seals because he is the Lamb.
- He takes it from the right hand of The Father sitting on the throne.
- He then opens the 7 Seals one by one.
- We become worthy to open the 7 Seals.
- We are worthy when we too have become a Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
What is the purpose of a Seal?
- There are two.
- A seal hides revelation until a destined future time.
“Seventy weeks are determined For your people and your holy city, To finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.” Daniel 9:24
- Scripture that has become revelation and has been fulfilled is also sealed.
So, the two functions of seals are:
- A seal hides revelation until a destined time.
- A seal seals up revelation that has been fulfilled.
- At the destined time the mystery is revealed and becomes revelation.
- A seal hides that revelation until a destined time in the future.
Revelation had been revealed to Daniel.
- Now it was no longer a hidden mystery.
- Now it was revelation.
- But this revelation was not for Daniel and his time.
- It was for a future time.
- So, it was sealed with a seal until that future time.
- This once again hid the revealed mystery until that future time.
- In that destined future time the seal is opened and the revelation is no longer hidden.
- Now it is revealed meaning of scripture that is ready to be fulfilled.
- This is what was happening as the 7 seals were opened.
Here are the 7 seals.
- One Seal at a time.
- Beginning with the 1st Seal.
‘Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.’ Revelation 6:1-2
- John is told, “Come and see.”
- John looks and sees a White Horse.
- The Rider on the White Horse has a bow.
- The Rider is given a Crown.
- The Rider rides the White Horse going out conquering and to conquer.
- The word translated “conquer” here is the same word translated “overcome” elsewhere.
Who is the Rider on the White Horse?
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 1He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.” Revelation 19:11-14
- There is another Rider on a White Horse in Revelation 19.
- He is followed by many other Riders on White Horses.
- The Rider on the White Horse is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
- We are those who follow Him riding on White Horses.
We are the same Riders on White Horses in Revelation 6 and 19.
- We are given a Crown.
- What Crown?
- It is the Crown of Glory as found in Revelation 5:12-13.
- It is the Crown of Glory, Honor, Blessing, Power, Riches, Strength and Wisdom.
- See https://growingpeopleframework.wordpress.com/the-7-crowns/.
We are given a bow.
- What do you do with a Bow?
- You shoot Arrows at an enemy.
We go out overcoming and to overcome.
- To overcome what?
- His enemies.
- The last enemy is Death.
Riding the White Horse is to be seated on the throne the LORD (YHVH) Mighty in Battle.
