‘Now the Lord had said to Abram: (This was before Abram became Abraham.) “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.”‘  Genesis 12:1

Paraphrase of the call of Abram:

• Leave and Go.

Leave

• Your Country
• Your Family
• Your Father’s House

Go

• To the Land that I will show you.

When the LORD God said, “Go to the Land that I will show you” He was sending Abram as an Apostle.

• An Apostle does a lot of Leaving as he / she is Going.
• This is Trading Out of and Trading Into at the same time.
• The Leaving is in the Going.

An Apostle is 3 Names:

• Forerunner
• Father
• Foundation

Abraham is a Forerunner.

• He went before all of his descendants to the Promised Land.
• When he got there it was not yet time for him to Inherit the Land that had been Promised to him.
• His descendants inherited it generations later after Joshua led them into the Promised Land.

Abraham is a Father.

• Abraham begot and fathered Isaac.
• Isaac begot and fathered Jacob.
• Etc.
• Abraham is the Father of us all.
• We are all Sons of Abraham.

Abraham didn’t became a Foundation during his lifetime on Earth. 

• But he was looking to become one.
• Later generations of his Sons became Foundations.

How do I know this?

 “By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;  for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”  Hebrews 11:9-1

• Abraham waited for the City which has Foundations.

What City has Foundations?

• New Jerusalem.
• The 12  Foundations of New Jerusalem are the 12 Apostles of the Lamb.

Apostles are 3 things.

• Forerunners
• Fathers
• Foundations

Abraham was a Forerunner and a Father.

• He was waiting to become a Foundation.

The Old understanding of Apostles are that only some are called to be Apostles.

• This is based upon an incomplete understanding of the Blueprint for Building the Ecclesia.
• It is true & it is not true.
• It is true that we are not all called to be Apostles.
• It is also true that we are all called to be sent like Abraham & like an Apostle.

We are all Sons of Abraham.

• Abraham was sent.
• We, as Sons of Abraham, are also called to be sent.
• Do you see it?

Apostle & Forerunner

• All Apostles are Forerunners.
• Not all Forerunners are Apostles.
• There are Forerunners who were not Apostles who were Forerunners as Kings.
• There are Forerunners who were not Apostles who are Forerunners as Sons.
