‘And they asked Him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” Then He answered and told them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restores all things. And how is it written concerning the Son of Man, that He must suffer many things and be treated with contempt? But I say to you that Elijah has also come, and they did to him whatever they wished, as it is written of him.”’ Yeshua speaking of John the Baptist who came in the Spirit and Power of Elijah in Mark 9:11-13
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.“ Peter proclaiming on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 3:19-21
John the Baptist came proclaiming a Baptism of Repentance.
- He told people to Repent.
- He came in the Spirit and Power of Elijah.
The mandate of The Spirit and Power of Elijah is to Restore All Things.
- This mandate was not completed by John the Baptist.
- It is being completed by us who have come in the same Spirit & Power.
Peter proclaimed the need for Repentance on the Day of Pentecost. He told the crowd that day to Repent so that several other things could happen.
- Their sins would be blotted out.
- Times of refreshing may come from the presence of the LORD.
- Times of Restoration of all things may come.
- That the LORD would send Jesus Christ.
The Restoration of All Things will be completed before Jesus comes as Christ.
- Christ = King.
There are 6 Foundations of Kingship.
- They are found in Hebrews 6:1-2.
- The first Foundation of Kingship is Repentance from Dead Works.
There is a common thread of Repentance here in these scriptures.
- John the Baptist came in the Spirit & Power of Elijah to Restore All Things.
- He proclaimed a Baptism of Repentance.
- Peter proclaimed the need to Repent so Restoration of All Things would come.
- Restoration begins with Repentance.
- Restoration of All Things leads to the coming of the King.
The common thread is Repentance and the coming of the King.
- The first Foundation that leads to us fully becoming Kings is Repentance.
- When we are fully Kings we come with the King.
What is The Restoration of All Things?
- It is not the Restoration of the Heavens and the Earth.
- The Heaven and the Earth are not Restored.
- They are Made New.
The Restoration of All Things is the Restoration of Man’s full Identity.
- Elijah comes and Restores All Things that the King may come.
- It is especially the Restoration of our Identity as Kings.
- We come as Kings after being Restored as Kings.
The Restoration of All Things is The Restoration of many Names!
- The 5 Names of The Forerunner / Apostle.
- The 5 Names of Sonship including Kingship.
- And many other names.
Here are some questions to help see what The Restoration of All Things means:
What does “All” mean?
It can mean everyone of every category.
- Example: Every fish of every kind of fish that was created.
- Then it means every Shark. Every Tuna. And every one of every kind of Fish.
Or it can mean some of every category.
- Example: Some of every kind of fish that was created.
- Then it means some Sharks. Some Tuna etc.
- It means at least one of every kind of Fish.
- How does this apply to The Restoration of All Things?
- This will determine whether or not all men will be Restored.
Another big question is whether or not Angels will be restored.
- And whether of not Lucifer will be restored.
- The answer to this question is determined by what The Restoration of All Things means.
Personally, I currently resolve these questions in this way.
- The New Testament translates the Greek for “All” as “All Things”.
- The word “All” is in the Greek.
- The word “Things” is not.
- The word “Things” was added by the translators.
- Why?
- The word “Things” was added to answer the question, “All what?” Apples? Oranges?
I see that the word “All” means “All” & that it doesn’t mean “All Things”.
- All means some of every kind.
- It doesn’t mean everyone of every kind.
When seeking to understand scripture we must first apply The Law of First Mention.
- When is the word “All” first mentioned in scripture?
- What is its meaning where it is first mentioned?
- These are the 1st questions to ask.
What does the word “All” mean when first mentioned?
- It is used to refer to All that was created during days 1 through 6 of the Days of Creation.
- God created before anything reproduced.
- “All” = the original Blueprint creation before the Fall & before reproducing.
What was created during Days 1 – 6?
- The Heavens
- The Earth
- The Sun, Moon & Stars
- Plants
- Animals
- Man
The Angels were created before The 6 Days of Creation.
- The restoration of Angels is a question that is separate from The Restoration of All.
The key element of The Restoration of All is The Restoration of Man.
- The One New Man who grows to be The Perfect Man.
- Part of The Restoration of Man is The Restoration of The Ecclesia.
The Restoration of Man
- Includes the Restoration of full identity & function to Man.
- This is the Restoration of All Names to Man.
- Including especially the Names “King (Christ) & “Son of God”.
