What did The 12 Trade into Yeshua for their Training?
The 12 Began as Disciples.
- Many of them began as Disciples of John The Baptist.
- They then became Yeshua’s Disciples after John pointed out Yeshua to them.
The 12 spent many years with Yeshua.
- First as Disciples.
- Then as Sons being trained as Forerunners (Apostles).
They were full time Disciples & Sons.
- 24 hours a Day.
- 7 days a Week.
- 52 Weeks a Year for several Years.
They traveled with Yeshua full time.
- They didn’t have a Job.
- Not even a part time Job.
- Disciple & Son was their full time Job.
Disciples function in Sowing & Reaping.
- This is a Kingdom Age Function.
- Disciples are to Sow Back Material things for the Spiritual Things.
- Material Things for The Spiritual Teaching that they receive.
- Did The 12 do this?
- No.
- Why not?
- Because they were full time Disciples & Sons.
What did they do instead?
- They gave their time to learning from Yeshua.
- They gave their time to serving Yeshua.
Who did all of the work around The Camp while they were on the road?
- Do you think that Yeshua did it all for them?
- Or did they did it for Yeshua & for one another.
When Yeshua multiplied the loaves & fishes who did all of the serving?
- Who did all of the serving of loaves & fish?
- Who did all of the gathering of the leftovers?
- The 12 did.
- Not just to be on the spot to see the miracle.
- They were first there to serve.
- Then they were there to see the miracle while they were serving.
- They learned while they served others.
This servant function is a Deacon function.
- Yeshua came to serve.
- He served everyone.
- Those who were being taught & trained by him also served others.
- And they served Him.
Disciples serve their Teacher.
- Elisha served Elijah.
- Along the way he became a Son.
‘But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord by him?” So one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, “Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.” ‘ 2 Kings 3:11
- Elisha poured water on the hands of Elijah.
- This means that he washed his hands.
- Elisha served Elijah.
- While he served he watched & learned.
- Elijah then trained Elisha.
- This was a Father training a Son.
- When fully trained Elisha took Elijah’s place as Prophet.
- Today Sons do not replace Fathers.
- They come to stand at their Father’s side doing the same work together.
Sons join their Father in doing their Father’s work.
- Yeshua worked with his stepfather, Joseph, doing carpenter work.
- Yeshua worked with His Father doing the work of The Kingdom.
The 12 worked with Yeshua.
- They joined Him in doing The work of a Forerunner (Apostle).
- He sent them before Him by 2s to Sow Seed in the villages.
- He himself went to the same villages later.
- They did preparation work.
- At the time they knew how to do some of the work of a Forerunner (Apostle).
- The 12 were supported by the village that Yeshua sent them to.
- The village housed them in one of their homes.
- The village fed them.
- Villages did the same thing for Yeshua.
Timothy worked with Paul.
- Paul was able to send Timothy in his place to a city.
- Paul had started citywide Ecclesias in each city.
- Timothy did follow up work for Paul.
- Timothy was quite far along in his training.
- He was ready to be sent alone to existing ecclesias.
- When Timothy arrived it was just as if Paul had arrived.
- Timothy knew how to do all of the work of a Forerunner (Apostle).
- The Ecclesia supported Timothy while he worked among them as a Forerunner.
2 Laws:
- The Law of Sowing & Reaping
- The Law of Trading
Forerunners & Disciples function in The Law of Sowing & Reaping.
- The Forerunner Sows Truths as a Seed into Disciples.
- This is part of The Work of The Forerunner.
- Disciples Sow Material things back into The Forerunner.
- This is how Forerunners are to be Supported.
- This is how they receive their Living.
“Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach (Sow) the gospel should live from the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 9:14
- Live from The Gospel = make a living from sowing / preaching The
- This applies to Sowing (Preaching).
- It also applies to Watering (Teaching).
- And to Revealing Mysteries & Forerunning.
Fathers & Sons function in both Laws.
- Fathers Sow the Seed of Sonship into Sons.
- Fathers & Sons Trade into one another.
What do they Trade into one another?
- Time
- Work
- Revelation
- Honor
There is Honor & there is Double Honor.
- Honor is what you say.
- Double Honor is what you give financially / materially.
There were 2 types of Disciples.
- Those who traveled full time with Yeshua.
- Those who lived in the villages that Yeshua visited.
Disciples who traveled full time with Yeshua.
- The 12 & others are examples of this type of Disciple.
- These were full time Disciples.
- Some are full time Disciples today.
- They are full time Disciples of Yeshua.
- They are also full time Disciples of a specific Forerunner.
- They often go on to become a Son of that same Forerunner.
- We have already discussed how they are to support a Forerunner.
Disciples who lived in the villages.
- Mary, Martha & Lazarus are examples of this type of Disciple.
- They are full time Disciples of Yeshua.
- But they didn’t travel with him.
- They had jobs.
- They had families that they were living with.
- When Yeshua visited their village they supported Him while He was there.
- They took Him into their home.
- They fed him.
- They fed The 12 who were traveling with Him as trainee Forerunners.
So, having seen the above, what does this verse mean?
“Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8b
- Based on the above we now know what it doesn’t mean.
Let’s look at the context for this scripture.
“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.” Matthew 10:7-10
- Yeshua is the one who is speaking.
- He is speaking to The 12.
- He is sending them out to cities & towns.
- He tells them not to take any money, food, or extra clothing with them.
- Why not?
- “… for a worker is worthy of his food.”
- Yeshua expects the towns & villages to support The 12.
Look at the context.
- What is the context?
- The context is preaching The Gospel of The Kingdom & healing the sick.
- Villages & towns are to provide living support for those who Preach / Sow.
So, what does, “Freely you have received, freely give” mean?
- It means that The 12 are not to sell their sowing / preaching or healing.
2 Laws
- The Law of Buying & Selling
- The Law of Sowing & Reaping
The Law of Buying & Selling
- The Seller is paid by The Buyer.
- This is before The Seller gives The Product to The Buyer.
- The Law of Buying & Selling requires payment up front before giving.
The Law of Sowing & Reaping.
- The Sower gives spiritual truth to The Receiver.
- The Receiver receives The Seed that The Sower has Sown into them.
- The Receiver then gives material support back to The Sower.
- Nothing is required up front.
- Sowing back is not required by The Sower.
- It is required by Yeshua.
Do you see the difference between the 2 Laws?
- The Law of Buying & Selling
- The Law of Sowing & Reaping
Both The Sower & The Receiver function in The Law of Sowing & Reaping.
- The Sower sows The Seed of Spiritual Truth.
- The Receiver sows The Seed of Material Support.
- Neither is functioning in The Law of Buying & Selling.
Both will Reap what they Sow.
- The Sower will Reap more Spiritual Truth.
- The Receiver will Reap more Material Goods / Finances.
The Sower receives more Spiritual Truth from God.
- This is a multiplication of his Seed.
The Sower will receive Material Goods / life support from The Receiver.
- This is a multiplication of material goods.
- This is a receiving of what is required in order to live.
The Receiver will Reap more material goods from God.
- This is a receiving of what is required in order to live.

Are you a Disciple who is struggling to make a living?

- If not, then this may be part of the reason that you are struggling.
- It may not be all of the reason.

Have you lost your job?
- Do you have some money saved?
- If you do, then this may be the time to become a full time Disciple.
- Then go on to become a Son.
