The Journey with respect to Oil

• The Journey to become Oil begins with Journeying to become a fruitful Oil Tree.
• Olives are crushed to produce Olive Oil.
• Olive Oil is part of many Oils.
• Each Oil has a function.
• The Oil Journey ends with functioning in each of these ways.

The 7 Oils:

• Oil for the Lights on The Lampstand / Menorah
• Oil for Anointing of Kings = Holy Oil.
• Oil for Anointing High Priests when they are first commissioned. See Psalm 133.
• Anointed with The Oil of Gladness because we have loved Righteousness & hated Wickedness
• The Oil of Joy is given to those who mourn in Zion
• Oil of Unity which occurs in the Name Son of God / High Priest
• Anointing Oil for Burial in The Grave

Each of these Oils has a function.

• There may be more than 7 Oils.

Oil is primarily Olive Oil.

• Olive Oil comes from pressed Olives.
• Olives need to be ripe before they are pressed.
• Olive trees grow in an Olive Grove.
• Olive Oil is made in an Olive Press.
• (Oil can also be an oil made from spices.)

 

The Mount of Olives

• The Mount of Olives is mentioned 11 times in Scripture.
• All but 2 mentions are in The Gospels except the 1st Mention.

1st Mention of “The Mount of Olives”:

“So David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.”                     2 Samuel 15:30

• David climbed The Mount of Olives as he left Jerusalem.
• This was after his son Absalom betrayed him.
• And sought to take The Kingdom of Israel from him.
• The Garden of Gethsemane is on The Mount of Olives.
• Yeshua was betrayed by Judas there.

2nd Mention of “The Mount of Olives”:

“Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two…” Zechariah 14:3-4a

• On The Day of The LORD The LORD’s feet will stand on The Mount of Olives.
• On The Day of The LORD The LORD fights against Nations.

Olive Groves are one of the many things Promised to us in The Promised Land.

• When we possess The Promised Land we get our mature Olive Groves.
• Giving us our own Olive Oil for the 1st time.
• We don’t have to function in The Law of Sowing & Reaping to get it.

 

Oil

• The 1st Mention of “Oil”:

“Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it.” Genesis 28:18

• Jacob set up a stone pillar at Bethel.
• He poured oil on the pillar.

He had just seen the revelation that Bethel is The House of God.

• It is the place that the Angels of God ascend & descend.
• It is the Gate between Heaven & Earth.
• The Overcoming Ecclesia is the Gate between Heaven & Earth.

Oil in scripture:

• Oil for the Lights (Candlestick / Menorah
• Oil for Anointing of Kings & High Priests
• Oil was mixed with flour to make a Grain Offering
• Oil was used in cleansing someone who was unclean.
• Oil was part of Firstfruits along with Wine & Grain
• Oil is part of what The LORD blesses resulting in multiplication & increase.
• Early & Latter rain is given for our Grain, Wine & Oil
• In Ascher’s blessing he is said to dip his foot in oil
• Elijah multiplied the widow’s handful of flour & little oil in a jar.
• Each year there is New Wine & New Oil.
• There are Rivers of Oil
• Our heads are to be anointed with Oil
• Fragrant Oil (oil of spices) was poured on Yeshua’s body preparing for His burial
• Anointing with Oil in the name of The LORD heals the sick
• After opening the 3rd Seal the 3rd Living Creature says, “Do not harm The Oil & The Wine”
